Bad Birnbach

Bad Birnbach is located above the rolling hills of the Rottal Valley in the Landshut region. Around 12 km east of Pfarrkirchen and 43 km from Passau, and together with the nearby towns of Bad Griesbach and Bad Füssing, creates to so-called Lower Bavarian "spa triangle".

In the year 812 it was first mentioned in a document as Perinpah. Since 1677 it was given market rights, and since 1979 Bad Birnbach has been officially recognised as a spa resort, and the Rottal Therme® as a mineral spa business. In 1984 Bad Birnbach was made a "Market", and in 1987 it was awarded the title "Spa". Hotel Sonnengut is located around 10 minutes from the centre of Bad Birnbach. Numerous festivals and traditional markets make it a wonderful holiday location all through the year.

In the sports and activities centre, numerous tennis courts, football pitches, roller blading area, mini golf, air rifle shooting, archery and much more are available.

In the beautiful Rottal Valley a further attraction has been available since summer 2007: the Golfpark Bella Vista is a local 18 hole golf facility.
